The Allagash

Canoe The Wild

The majestic River

Join Jeremy Grant for a week on the Allagash, a protected wilderness waterway with its ribbon of lakes, ponds, and rivers spanning across the north Maine woods. As one of the very few rivers in the world that flows north, its history includes one of logging, as lumberjacks took advantage of the unique waterflow to steer valuable timber to the mills of the golden age of timber.

This expedition is a lifetime experience, but one to be respected and attempted with the knowledge of surviving the wild. Follow the crew and their guide as they spot over 26 moose, traverse rapids, paddle across lakes without a motor in sight, and sleep in a thousand-star hotel under the darkest sky you will gaze upon in your life.
